About The Job

The Red Hat Consulting team is looking for a Associate Technical Project Manager to join us in Puteaux, France. In this role, you will manage services projects in the region from initiation through to delivery and closure. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams and establish appropriate metrics for measuring key project criteria, as well as determine, monitor, and review all project economics including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources, and risk. While effectively managing a project, you will also be responsible for helping instill an organizational project management discipline and serve as an ambassador for the adoption of project management fundamentals, principles, and methodologies with Red Hat’s services.

What You Will Do

  • Direct complex projects involving multiple stakeholders
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Define, create and execute project plans for project, portfolio, and product prioritization and implementation
  • Evaluate trade-offs between project size and complexity, cost, urgency, risk, and stakeholder value
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope.
  • Partner with business sponsors to define success metrics and with other groups which have an impact on the project success.
  • Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project life-cycles
  • Provide frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability
  • Facilitate all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of projects
  • Create risk mitigation strategies to anticipate, assess and resolve project risks
  • Prepare project status reports and present project performance updates to relevant business stakeholders
  • Define and track project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
  • Ensure all projects meet success parameters and return on investment (ROI) targets stated in the original project proposal.

What You Will Bring

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent facilitation, collaboration, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience with stakeholder management and building relationships
  • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
  • Awareness of organizational change management practices
  • Focused and versatile team player who is comfortable under pressure, ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
  • Understanding of software development lifecycles
  • In depth understanding of project management concepts
  • Coordinate with geographically distributed teams and assist in training and coaching in order to achieve project goals
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse, global, cross-functional team
  • Experience working with project and portfolio management tools
  • Experience in an agile environment
  • More than 3 years of project management experience
  • Bachelor’s in computer science, information technology, management or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Project management certifications are a plus
